Ibri College of Technology is one of the Regional Colleges of Technology under the Ministry of Manpower in Oman, alongside with Higher College of Technology in Muscat, Musanna, Nizwa, Ibra, Salalah, and Shinas.

Ibri College of Technology is the youngest among the other five Regional Colleges of Technology in Oman with its current population of 1,441 students studying in various programs. The college accepted its first intake in September of 2007 with 347 students all in the foundation program.

The programs offered in Regional Colleges of Technology is of the same academic standards approved and monitored by experienced educators in the Higher College of Technology (HCT) in Muscat to ensure that students need in the industry and globally is sustained.

The Foundation Program comprises of four levels; pre elementary, elementary, intermediate and advanced level. Four semesters or less is spent depending on the student’s level on their assessment test as one of the entry requirement of the college. As students progress they would move from one level to another based on their performance. Upon completion of their foundation year, they can proceed to the Certificate level in their chosen specialization and then to the next level; Diploma and Higher Diploma. Each level offers a fulfilling experience for all students that would guarantee them enough skills to enable them to compete in the industry.

From 347 students on its first intake, the College has a growing population of 1,441 on its second year of operation with an estimated intake of 720 students annually. Expanding its facilities include a building for the Engineering Department with a rough estimation of 7,500 square meters lot area. This building will support the additional laboratories needed and two workshops. There would also be thirty more rooms being constructed in this site and expected to be fully operational for the next school year in 2011 to accommodate the enthusiastic group of engineering students. The college has a total of 154 staff members from Academic departments and administrative division who are all dedicated to promote a conducive educational environment for all the students.

The College has four Academic departments: English Language Center, Engineering, Information Technology (IT), and Business Studies.
